Happy 4th Birthday, Blake Ryan!

I've been Blake Ryan's nanny since he was an itty bitty newborn.  And now he is 4!  He had his birthday with family and his preschool buddies at The Pretend City Museum in Irvine.  Picture a pretend city where you can be anything that you want!

The birthday guests loved the grafitti board and drew Blake birthday messages.

Make a wish!

Blake is all ready to parade his guests into the city.

The kids had the chance to work in each shop and then earn money after punching a time clock.

Thank you for a fun afternoon, Blake.  I'm looking forward to many cupcake dates and fun this year!!

A Trip to the fire station....

I have no shame. I admit it. I *may* have strongly encouraged / pitched / persuaded three of my favorite kidlettes that a Friday afternoon field trip to the Fire Station would be a blast!

Meet Chris. He's a friendly neighborhood firefighter who *happened* to be working this particular Friday afternoon.

He was great with the kids and we all left the fire house with fire safety on our minds.

Blake was fascinated with Mr. Chris' helmet

Hiya, Blake! Brandon and Carly wanted to climb all over the fire engine.

Thank you, Mr. Chris!

Blake Ryan is THREE!

I started babysitting Blake when he was a newborn. And now he's three! He's hardly little anymore and the sweet, chill baby boy has turned into a feisty, very strong, active almost pre-schooler!
Blake either loves me or hates me. Last night he greeted with me a, "Get out of my house!" Followed by the insult, "You an idiot, LALA!" I told him we wouldn't be making a cake, to which he didn't miss a beat and added, "Oopsie. I sorry!" My other favorites are, "I LUB (love) you LALA," and "Just one more baba (bottle)...
Happy Birthday, Boos! I LUB you!!!

Backyard with Blake

Blake is 26 months old. I have known Blake since he was a newborn (and while he was in his mama's tummy!) and have been his "lala" (nanny) since then. He has a mind of his own, prefers his daddy to anybody else in the world, is the youngest of 4 highly energetic siblings and is so stinking cute!
He can usually be found with a nunu (binky) and a silky in each hand. A boy after my own heart.

This is the face he makes whenever he sees my camera out. It's complete with the sounds of, "cheeeeeeeessssssseeee.... cheeeeeeessssseeee!"

But I like this face better....

And love this one! Consider yourself a-okay in Blake's book if he graces you with a smooch. It isn't every day that he doles 'em out.

He' s always on the go and is usually standing on top of this little tykes car instead of riding in in bam-bam style

He looks so innocent here, with the folded hands and all. Truth is, if he gets irritated/annoyed/mad/feels threatened he is known to chuck whatever object is in sight at his tormentor. Shoes, wooden puzzle pieces, plastic fruit, remote control... it doesn't matter. And the kid has incredible aim. Just last week after a gourmet dinner at Fatburger he chucked his shoe from the backseat and hit his mom right smack dab in the middle of the temple. He got her attention and the volume to the dvd was promptly turned up, as requested.

But who couldn't love this sweet face? Those big brown eyes and smile?

I love you, Blake Ryan... you are my Boozy Booz!
