Fight With Grace Mardi Gras Benefit

My sister Janice and I got to be the guests at The Fight With Grace Mardi Gras Event courtesy of our good friend, Pattie. Both Pattie and our mom are breast cancer survivors, so it was extra special to get to attend an event which benefits the Orange County Memorial Breast Cancer Center.

The Silent auction featured awesome gift baskets of designer handbags.

We all wore Mardi Gras masks and were given a plethora of beads and boas!

Janice bought a ton of raffle tickets and won TWO of the door prizes. One was this quilt. My mom and Pattie both made panels for this quilt. So it was MEANT to be won by Janice! Janice also won a basket with a jewelry gift certificate and gave it to me! WOOHOO!

The day ended with Vince Feragamo showing us his Dancing With The Stars worthy routine.

Showering the future Mrs. Johnson

My family friend, Heather Johnson is having her dream wedding in Savannah, Georgia this June. She is marrying Mike Johnson. So her new name with be Heather (Johnson) Johnson! :O)

Her best friends, Beth and Shakira hosted a bridal shower for her in Seal Beach, California.

Walt's Wharf on Main Street had a wonderful luncheon for all of Heather's guests.

The cake was AMAZING (as were the monogrammed cookies).

Heather and I met almost 20 years ago when my family was living in Black Butte Ranch, Oregon. Her family bought a second home in Sisters and have become one of our closest family friends.

This is a photo of Beth and Heather from elementary school. As most girls do, they were already planning their dream wedding! Beth will be Heather's matron of honor.
