A baby shower for Dana to celebrate Elle Julianne!

Today was Dana's baby shower. It's a marathon post with lots of photos... but I couldn't leave any out. What an amazing day full of excitement for Dana and Nick to become parents to Elle Julianne. Elle will be the first granddaughter on the Hughie side and the first grandchild for The Everetts (Nick's family).

Elle is all set with everything she could ever need and lots of fun treats too!

Many of Dana's friends from Sisters High School were able to attend. Sidney, Chelsea and Lucy and Dana have known each other for over ten years.

My friends Tirza, Lindsey and Olivia were here to celebrate with us. Tirza has a new baby boy, Weston Lee.

West was quite the popular dude today. Everybody wanted to hold him. He was all smiles and is such a mellow and happy little guy!

Janice and I had a fun time with the decorations. We made photo frames and candles with baby pictures of Dana, Nick, and their parents. I also found a very interesting piece of history ~ a baby care book from 1942... my how times have changed!

Dana's Mother-in-Law, Julie (who will soon be a Grammie and is Elle's middle names namesake) made an awesome candy bar.

There were even personalized M&M's! Too cute!

We had some fun shower games, including trivia from Legally Blonde. Dana fell in love with the name Elle after watching Elle Woods in Legally Blonde.

Elle now has a great library of books to choose from. Dana and I were read to a lot growing up and I know that this tradition will carry on for Sweet Elle.

Tomorrow is Dana's baby shower to celebrate Elle Julianne's Arrival.

My present for Elle was a Bed and Bath theme. I had a lot of fun shopping for some of my favorites to add to Elle's bookshelf. And bath time? You all know that I have a nightly bubble bath ritual.

Al Amir family dinner

It's a boy! We found out today that my sister-in-law Sonia and brother Ken are having a baby boy this October! We celebrating by meeting for dinner at Al Amir ~ a Lebanese restaurant in Portland. My aunt Susan, sister Janice, Parents and Portland family are all in town for Dana's baby shower tomorrow.

Al Amir are supporters of St. Jude and are family friends of Sonia. It was fun to talk shop with Joseph and Lydia and enjoy a great meal with family.

I Love Little Blue Boxes

My first stop in Portland was to Tiffany & Co. in Portland. I've been eyeing a porcelain box for quite some time now. It was one of those I really want it wish list items... and I decided to just splurge and buy it for myself. AND... no tax and no shipping? What a bargain! :O)

NYC is one of my favorite cities. Now my favorite jewelry has a special home on my bathroom counter. And I can stop telling my sister Janice how much I really want to buy it. She made me do it.

Happy 15th Birthday Mickey!

Today is Mickey MooMoo's 15th Birthday. While she was at rehearsal for Annie her mom Rachel and Jodi and I were preparing a spa night / ice cream sundae night surprise.

A little pampering while listening to Broadway music, drinking a coke AND having an ice cream sundae... not too bad of a way to celebrate a birthday!
