Rachel and Mickey's Christmas Hula Show

Mickey singing Mele Kalikimaka

Mike and I went to Rachel and Mickey's Hula show to kick off the Christmas season! They are part of the Halau Ka Makani Komohana in Huntington Beach and had performed their Christmas Ho'ike island style.

"Hula is the language of the heart and therefore the heartbeat of the Hawaiian people." King David (Kâwika) La`amea Kalâkaua.

Rachel is the middle dancer.

Shake, shake, shake...

Tamiflu instead of Mexico :O(

I woke up yesterday morning feeling like this...

...I went to the doctor to get some cough medicine. I wanted prescription strength to take with me on my vacation to Mexico. I leave tomorrow.

My doctor took one look at me and said, "You're not going anywhere. You can't fly. I'm pretty sure that you have H1N1." She swabbed me and sent me on my way with a doctor's note for the airlines, an rx for cough meds and Tamiflu and orders to be quarantined for a week.

BOO!

Netflix and naps for the next week. It's my couch that I'll be resting on. I wish it were the Cabo San Lucas sun.

Double BOO!
