Day 4 ~ St. Maarten

A great day in St. Maarten. We took a taxi to Orient Beach. Our original plans to Snorkel at Penile Bay were canceled due to rough water and rain. Boohoo.

But the sun did shine for a few hours. I slept on the beach (no complaints there!) and then had my hair braided.

When the rain started coming down we headed to Kakao Bar until it cleared.

Orient Beach is on the Dutch side of the island. It is, "clothing optional." And yes it's true... those that shouldn't be baring it all are those who are! :O)

On the way back to the ship we stopped in town for a bit to have a drink. By Day 4 Tommy is getting used to the idea of striking up conversations with strangers... as is typical "cruise ship behavior." Here is, Mike. He almost didn't make it on the ship yesterday as he had the wrong boarding time. He now has to be on an hour early!

Tommy wanted to try Guavaberry Rum. I think he might not ever try Guavaberry again.

Tommy retired to bed for the rest of the evening and did not emerge until the next morning. Lesson: When in St. Maarten, do not do what the St. Maarteners do!

While the, "adults" were doing there libation sampling... I played with Michael, Pirate Michael. How cute is he?

I love steel drums!

And gave it a try!
Tomorrow: Antigua.
Stay tuned...
