Everett Family Photos

I fly back to California tomorrow.  So, tonight I snapped a few photos of Dana and her adorable family.

Elle's outfit came from my hope chest.  I've collected baby clothes for quite some time now.  I hope to have a baby (maybe a girl?) of my own someday.  And until then, Elle can enjoy the wardrobe!

Happy family

Goodbye Everetts.  Hope to see you again in October!!!

Splish! Splash!

I got the honor of giving Elle her bath today.  She LOVES the water.  I can see that she is going to love being in the pool.  At two months she wiggles around in the water and gets so excited when she is immersed in her little baby tub.

Dana came in to her bathroom to find Elle in her Gymboree Ladybug bathing suit.  I bought it for last Winter when I found out she was going to be a girl.

And the shades.  A girl has to have matching shades, right?

A half smile / Elvis grin for the camera.

And a big smile for her LaLa!

After bath I got her all warm, dry and lotioned up.

All smiles :)

We played a few rounds of This Little Piggy Went To Market.

And then mama came to join in on the fun.

I wished I lived closer.  Portland is too far away from my family.  Especially since I have a new niece and a nephew on the way. :(

My friends Tirza and her kids (Mira, Annah and Weston) and Olivia joined us this afternoon.  I met Tirza and Olivia at Sisters Middle School in 1990.  And now, 20 years later, we are still very close and connected.  Love these girls!!

West is 5 months old.  The babies are comfy cozy on Tirza's lap!

Beautiful blue eyed boy.  And super happy too!

Mira and Annah have lots of practice being big sisters and took right to playing with and holding Elle.  I brought them a suitcase full of hand-me-down clothes from a friend.  They were very excited and quickly changed clothes to showcase their new clothes!

Elle fell asleep in our stroller and we headed to the elementary school around the corner to play.

Very sad. A sweet seven year old boy, Kyron Horman disappeared from school the day after Elle was born.  He lived with his family just outside of school.  Although there have been several leads (including his stepmother being a person of interest) there have been no signs of Kyron and he is feared dead. :(  Pray for Kyron to be returned home safe and sound.

Chilling (in outfit #4 of the day) in the shade.

My little sis and her little enjoying a sunny (and hot!) afternoon.

Thank you so much for coming up today girls (and West!).  It was good to see you and spend some time together!  Who could have predicted where our lives would lead us today 20 years ago.  So blessed!

Dress up

So Dana I came to a compromise.  I can play dress up Elle as long as I do the laundry.  Sounds like a deal.  What fun is having a little girl if you can't change her outfits multiple times a day!?

One of Dee's friends gave Elle this rain hat and boots at the baby shower.  I say she'll get use of them during Portland's annual average of 300+ days of rain.  (Reason number one why I don't live there).

After Elle's brunch it was time to change Elle again.  My friends Olivia and Tirza and kids are coming from Silverton to spend the afternoon with us.

Little girls in smocked dresses will always remind me of my days of living in the south.  They are a must for every wardrobe and are usually monogrammed are paired with larger than life hair bows, ruffle socks and white Mary Jane KEDS or black patent leathers.  So LaLa had to buy Elle one or two or three.  (With orders to save them in case I should be blessed with a baby girl someday!)

Dana said Elle can't wear this outfit to the park this afternoon.  So, guess we'll have to do another outfit change.  But we'll wait until after our friends arrive!

Pretty baby girl

I love how alert and bright eyed Miss Elle is.

And I love how she smiles for Nana Oregon when my mom talks in her high pitched baby voice.

She is content to lay on her activity mat and chill.

And how cute is she in her pink Polo dress?

Elle doesn't quite have the napping thing down yet.  Or is it that we just can't figure out what will make her drift off to dream land?  She's so happy most of the time, that it doesn't matter much that she is asleep for most of the day.  Sweet girl.

Out and about it PDX

We met in The Pearl District in Portland for lunch today.  I love the Pearl.  It is very artsy and has great places to eat, shop and walk around.

The fam

We ate at this great place, called 50 plates.  They feature 50 entrees from all 50 states.  I had southern food ~ the best mac n cheese!

Impossible to get a pic of Andrew.  But I'll take a side profile.

Classic Mark face

Dana LOOOOOVES frozen yogurt.  We went for an after lunch treat.

Dana said I'm not allowed to just pass Elle around.  But I had to see Andrew with Elle.

Kisses from Papa Oregon

Lovey.
