I awoke this morning (well, it was almost afternoon...) to the sound of a toddler's pitter patter feet. Mason Jude was raring to go. He introduced me to his newest little puppy. I didn't know they could be so teeny tiny...
Then he showed me a painting of his sissy. A woman painted this for the Schexnayders. A beautiful memento of their precious baby girl.

We headed out of Lafayette to Baton Rouge, but made a stop first at Zoie's grave.
When Zoie prayed (which was often) she always ended her prayers, "Now and forever Amen." It's written on the back of her head stone.
We visited the St. Jude affiliate in Baton Rouge, where Zoie quickly made friends with the clinic staff.
Her picture was everywhere, as were the stories of what a special little girl she was.
This patient art work hung on the clinic wall. Such poignant gratitude.
A photo with Ms. Kim, Zoie's favorite nurse.
We ended the night at Cracker Barrel for chicken and dumplins. It's probably the closest to Paula Deen's cooking that I might ever have.
Night night!
